Modern art in modern society can be be more about the story than about the image. The gap that has arisen between art and the public due to the many successive avant-garde styles and the downfall of the artist’s position, is now often filled with difficult words that taste expensively and are multi-interpretable.
How this methodology can elevate everything to art, I tried to show by applying those same museums / gallery tricks to pieces of daubed wall at the art academy; A Plexiglas plate, a clear description of materials and an extremely woolly description of the meaning.
For the name of the artists I designed an anagram that constitutes either a continuous question or statement at the art academy.
Brochures, showing route and descriptions, could be found at the reception desk during the open day. Unfortunately I did not manage to fly in for famous Dutch people.
