#RealFilter was born out of the ambivalent attitude the summerschool had towards online privacy and mental health. The invited professors spoke vigorously of the dangers of social media, while our own communication blatantly continued to make use of it. Next to a practical redesign of the communication, I manufactured a group of filters that embrace the futility I feel in relation to the powerful systems that gather and use my data. Simple garbage was applied to the Insta and Facebook worlds to filter it back to the real world.
